Glenda Mae Stanford, 62, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born in Tutwiler, MS on September 10, 1951.
Glenda was a long-time resident of the coast and graduated from Long Beach High School and the Univ. of Southern Mississippi. She was an active member of both Bel Air Baptist Church and the Rebekah Sunday School Class. She took great joy and pleasure in sending cards and letters to all who touched her life.
Her dogs played a special place in her heart. She rescued abandoned animals and was even known to stop her car to rescue a turtle out of harm's way.
Glenda will be dearly missed but her unending cards, letters and phone calls will live forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of South Miss. (www.hssm.org).
Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved father-in-law, Edwin David Stanford. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David E. Stanford; her two sons; mother-in-law, Barbara Guadagni (Richard) of Antioch, Cali.; stepmother-in-law, Hilda Jo Stanford; sister-in-law, Gail Hearn (Mickey); brother-in-law, Jimmy M. Morgan; nieces and nephews-in-law, Amber Spurgeon (Eric) of Fort Worth, Texas, Lauren Biandis (Barrett), Ryan Hearn (Dawn), Morgan Hearn; and numerous great nieces and nephews-in-law.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 with visitation one hour prior, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Online condolences may be expressed at www.riemannfamily.com
