Glenda "Abby" Perkins, age 61, a lifelong resident of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her son, DeWayne Perkins; her parents, Helen and Junior Ladner; and her two sisters, Elaine Price and Jackie Parker.
Abby is survived by her husband of 45 years, Howell "Butch" Perkins; her three children, Tammy Perkins, Krystal (Timmy) Gore, and Heather (Tony) McCarty; her sister, Jean Ladner; her grandchildren, Kelli (Josh) Haney, Tyler McCarty, and Aimee Gore; and her very loved nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
Abby loved fishing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made, in Abby's honor, to St. Jude Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Wolf River Cemetery.
