Glenda Marie LaFrance, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, gained her angel wings on April 26, 2025, in Kiln, Mississippi, at the age of 71. She was born on April 16, 1954, in Mississippi, and her spirit resonated brightly throughout her life, enriching the lives of those around her with love and kindness.
As a devoted housewife, Glenda poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was a remarkable lady who loved shopping until you dropped, always looking for the perfect gift or treat for her family. But beyond her shopping escapades, Glenda cherished spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of her life, filling her days with joy and laughter.
She was not only a source of happiness but also a steadfast pillar of support for those she loved. Through times of great joy and moments of despair, Glenda was always there, ready to lend an ear or offer a comforting word. She had a unique ability to bring solace to anyone in need, never uttering a cross word to anyone’s face, always striving to uplift rather than discourage.
Glenda is survived by her loving daughters, Daphne (Kevon) Baxter and Amanda (Rand) Davidson, who will carry forward her legacy of compassion and warmth. Her grandchildren, Sabrina (Taylor) Neitman, Sarah (Russell) Strempler, Randy Davidson, Ryan Davidson, Zachary Baxter, Cameron Baxter, River Baxter, Autumn Baxter, and William Baxter, as well as her great-grandchildren Dakota Neitman, Cora Neitman, and Henry Neitman, will forever cherish the memories of their beloved 'Maw.'
Also left to mourn are her dear sister Wanda (Joe) Holliman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends who all felt the magic of Glenda’s unconditional love and support.
Glenda was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Gilbert LaFrance, who was her partner in life and love. She also mourns her late mother, Glorine Moran, stepfather Joe Moran, and father Sanford Lester.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Enhabit Hospice, her case worker Ms. Debbie, and the Jones family for their unwavering support during this difficult time. Glenda Marie LaFrance leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
