Gladys Moore

Gladys Maxine Moore, age 93 of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Gulfport.  Gladys was born on September 16, 1924 in Miami, Oklahoma to James and Ethel Baldwin.  She moved to Gulfport in 1957 and retired from Keesler Air Force Base where she worked in administration for 22 years.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Moore of 56 years; her parents; one son, Narva Moore; a granddaughter, Angela Moore;  her sister, Helen Pace;  her brother, Robert Baldwin.
She is survived by her son, Donald Leroy Moore and her daughter-in-law, Henrietta; her grandchildren, Julie Peek, Kevin Moore, Narva Moore, Clifton Moore and Christopher Moore; her 7 great grandchildren; and her 7 great-great grandchildren.
Gladys loved making crafts for Easter and Christmas.  She enjoyed cooking for friends and family from her recipe collection and her favorite cookbooks. She also loved making homemade jams and jellies for everyone to enjoy.
She was a member of the Long Beach Church of the Nazarene for over 45 years where she was a Sunday school teacher.  Gladys also served her church as Treasurer and Secretary.
Visitation will be at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Wednesday October 18, 2017.  A graveside service will be held at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport following visitation.
