Mary "Gina" Lynn Sinopoli LaCaze

Mary “Gina” Lynn Sinopoli LaCaze, age 71, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025. Born in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, Gina was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Mississippi. She graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1972 and continued her education at Perkinston Junior College, Jefferson Davis College, and the University of Southern Mississippi.

As a teenager, Gina volunteered as a Candy Striper at Memorial Hospital and worked in her family's restaurants. She later dedicated her career to Nutrition in the Medical Field, working at Driftwood Nursing Center, then Memorial Hospital, until her retirement. Gina had a passion for travel and was a devoted member of the Catholic faith.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Gina experienced the kindness and sweetness of her soul. She was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister, whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of many.

She is preceded in death by her father, Himbert John Sinopoli, maternal grandparents, Ernest and Winnie Ford; step-grandmother, Queenie Ford; paternal grandparents, Charles and Hazel Sinopoli; and brother, Himbert John Sinopoli Jr.

Survivors include her mother Pauline Ford Sinopoli; son, Eugene LaCaze Jr.; and siblings, Charisse Buzzella, Tara Nettles, Paula Sinopoli-Bascom (John) and Himbert Jayson Sinopoli (Michelle); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. Biloxi, MS. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
