Gigi put joy into the hearts of all who heard her sing. The day she died was the day of her resurrection when she rejoined the God who guided her life. Gigi was a light to those who knew her and a strong ally to those who needed her. She was an entertainer, a teacher, a compassionate care giver, and a lady who loved life and laughter. Her beloved guitar was a constant companion, together they were ever ready to spread the joy of song.
Gigi lived in Jackson and Gulfport most of her adult life sharing her musical gifts of blues, gospel, country and class. She could make her guitar speak for itself. She also shared her music in schools, churches, restaurants, nightclubs, and spontaneous gatherings. For the past twelve years, Gigi was on the staff at The Nourishing Place, using her gifts to enrich and encourage elementary school children, nursing home residents, and her church family.
