Gerard F. Saucier, age 81, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Gulfport.
Mr. Saucier was born on January 29, 1932 in Cottonport, LA and was raised in New Orleans. He has been a resident of Gulfport for the last 40 years. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1973, having served in Korea and Vietnam. After his military career, he worked and retired from Sears in 1993. Gerard loved woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozias John Saucier and Amy Rose Brassett Saucier; brother, Elmo Saucier; and sister, Amy Rose Buras.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Hellon Sumrall Saucier; children, Regina (Steve) Martin of Austin, TX and Brian (Linda) Saucier of San Antonio, TX; and two grandchildren, Sage Martin and Alex (Katherine) Saucier.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. The graveside service with military honors will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday at Floral Hills Memorial Mausoleum in Gulfport, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
