Geraldine Y. Richardson, affectionately known as Geri, passed away on January 4, 2026, in her beloved Gulfport, Mississippi, where she was born on April 12, 1950. She was a remarkable individual who dedicated her professional life as an Executive Secretary, a role she embraced with dedication and grace. She later went on to work for Sams Club for 10 years until her retirement.
Geri was not only a diligent worker but also a nurturing soul, cherished for her love of flowerbeds and her passion for growing diverse plants. More than anything, Geri treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies, who brought joy and fulfillment to her life. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ernest L. Richardson Sr., and their children, Ernest Richardson Jr. and Alice (Dennis) Clearwater. Geri's legacy continues through her loving sisters, Joyce Deters and Mary Wheeler, as well as her eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her deep love and nurturing spirit.
Geri was predeceased by her father, Woodrow Breland; her mother, Alice Breland; her brother, Curtis Breland; and her sister, Gladys Parker.
The memory of Geraldine Y. Richardson will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know and love her. She was loved by all who met her.
