Geraldine Hail Meece

Geraldine Hail Meece, 82, of Long Beach, MS, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Meece was a homemaker, devoted wife and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother.
She had lived in Long Beach since 1958 and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Long Beach. She was an avid bridge player. She was born in Meece, KY, on Feb. 5, 1932, to the late Aline Colyer Hail and Edward Felix Hail.
She graduated in 1950 from Pulaski County High School, where she was voted Most Beautiful. She was married on June 16, 1951, recently celebrating her 63rd wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Meece is survived by her husband, Clyde; three sons, Gary Meece (Brenda) of Memphis, TN, Roger Meece (Betty Jo) of Pensacola Beach, FL, Pete Meece (Teresa) of Long Beach; a daughter, Vicki Lorimer (Bob) of Conway, AR; two brothers, Harold Hail (Linda) and Raymond Hail (Drusilla), both of Somerset, KY, and a sister, Lola Hail Meece of Long Beach; nine grandchildren, Brian Meece (Kana) of New York City, Jesse Meece (Kalpana) of Atlanta, Sara Lorimer Jones (Aaron) of Conway, Ashley Meece of San Francisco, Justin Meece of Belleville, IL, Bobby Lorimer (Adrienne) of Jonesboro, AR, Katie Lorimer Slade (Colby) of Idaho Falls, and Matthew Meece and Tommy Meece, both of Long Beach, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jewell Hail, a half-brother, Kellawn Hail, and two half-sisters, Marjorie Bradley and Lena Wright.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
