Geraldine “Gerrie” May Carroll, age 79 of Saucier, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Alice Phillips, Sr.; her son, Louis Carroll, Sr.; her brothers, Phil Phillips Jr. and Richard Phillips; her sister, Linda Phillips and two great-great grandchildren, Kennedy and Emory Kahl.

Gerrie is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, George Phillips, Sr.; her children, George (Stacy) Phillips, Jr. and Leslie (Eddie) Bates; her grandchildren, Brandon (Christine) Bates, Kimberly (Dusty) Burton, Christopher (Taylor) Carroll, Brittany (Steve) Trosclair, Louis (Katie) Carroll, Jr., Brandie (Chase) Hopkins, Cody (Monica) Carroll and Braxton Bates and nine great grandchildren.

Born in San Diego, California, she spent her early years growing up in Louisiana before moving to Gulfport as a teenager. It was on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that she would make her home and build a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Shortly after moving to Mississippi, she met the love of her life, George. The two shared 64 wonderful years of marriage, creating a lifetime of love and memories together.

She was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment she was able to spend with them.

She was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and family. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her garden, and making her home a warm and welcoming place for those she loved. She was also an important part of George’s construction business, handling the company’s finances and helping support the business they built together.

She lived life to the fullest and gave so much of herself to the people she loved. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her loving heart, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Private graveside service will be held in Carroll Cemetery in Saucier.
