Georgianna Louise (Langer) Barnett, age 87, of Long Beach, Mississippi, formerly of Stratford, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on November 14, 2023, in Gulfport, MS surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Langer, Sr and Veronica Wilchinsky Langer; a son, George Joseph Langer; 2 sisters, Mildred Langer and Beverly Langdon; her best friend, Henrietta Gallos; and her former husband, Charles Barnett, Sr.


Mrs. Barnett is survived by her daughters, Rena Kerrigan of Oxford, CT, Michelle Wadkins (Jim Roberts) of Long Beach, MS, Kim Barnett Tomaso of Southington, CT; her sons, Charles Barnett, Sr of Bristol, CT, Michael Barnett of Northfield, NH, Richard Barnett of New Haven CT, Dennis Barnett (Kim) of Monroe, CT, and Peter Barnett of Gulfport, MS; 2 brothers, George Langer, Jr (Joanne) of Trumbull, CT and John Niland (Shaugn) of McKinney, TX; her  grand children, Heather Barnett, Melissa Barnett, Kristine Wadkins, Cassandra Wadkins, Kelly Kerrigan, Wally Kerrigan, Nicholas Barnett, Evan Barnett, Matthew Barnett, Chelsea Civitella, Vanessa Barnett, Richard Barnett Jr, Susan Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Jayme Barnett, Jalene Rodriguez, Christopher Barnett, Megan Barnett, Daniel Barnett, Veronica Conley, and Alexis Barnett; her great-grandchildren, Lennon Austin Clay, Autumn Jamieson-Zoller, Avenly Barnett, Briella Barnett, Hector Barnett, Jacqueline Barnett, Leila Barnett, Giovani Nievas, Avianna Santiago, Lilianna Santiago, and Brayden Barnes; and multiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 
She was a graduate of Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT and retired from Vishay as a machine Operator.  Mrs. Barnett enjoyed word puzzles, ceramics, church activities, looking at classic cars during Crusin the Coast, sitting outside enjoying the animals and nature, family time, shopping, going to the Long Beach Senior Center, and she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. 

The family would like thank the staff at Select Specialty Hospital and Riemann Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials be made to her favorite charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, the ASPCA, or any local animal shelter.
