George Tucker

George Perry Tucker, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the age of 74.

He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Robert and Gladys Tucker; his biological parents, John Perry, Sr. and Vessie Perry; and sister Anna Perry.

George is survived by his children, Howard Tucker, Ramona Girley (Travis) and Kimberly Moore; sisters, Cheryl Woods, Willie Mae Sanders (the late Charles, Sr.), Carolyn Byrd (Joe), Sylvia Williams (Curtis), Vessie Brown (Randall) Melody Perry Williams, Shavondia Perry; brothers, John Perry, Jr., Franklin Perry (Alma), Author Perry, Sr (Marie), Robert Perry (Tammy), and Terrance Perry; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was a United States Army Veteran who served and wounded in Vietnam from July 1968- July 1969 and the Army National Guard.

A wake will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS from 6pm- 8pm.  Funeral Service Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 13344 Old Highway 49, Gulfport, MS at 10am, public viewing 9am-10am.  A private burial will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery with Military Honors.
