George Thomson, Jr.

George Albert Thomson, Jr., age 74 of Ocean Springs, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Elizabeth Fairley Thomson; and his sister, Margaret Thomson Ball.

George is survived by his wife of 33 ½ years, Jeannine M. Thomson; his children, Karla Brune (Glenn), Anthony Thomson, Bryan White, Joanne Blackwell (Bill), Angela Carreras (Danny), and “Rocky” - his Jack Russell; his grandchildren, Johnathon Goff, Bret White, Kristen Knight (Jacob), Edwin Mourino, Sydney McDonough, Ashley and Nick Brune, Michael, Matthew, and Nicholas Blackwell; his great grandchildren, Lennon and Madden Knight, Nate Brune, Panya Watson, and Kaila Blackwell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a Sgt In the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and was a pipefitter, instructor, and mentor during his 50 years of service with the Plumber and Steamfitters Local Union 568.

George enjoyed taking neighborhood walks with his dog, “Rocky”, golfing, model airplanes, and boat rides.

He was a dear husband, loving father, loyal, caring, honest, and gentleman.  We will miss him dearly.  Thank you everyone for your phone calls, texts, and prayers.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
