George Edward Stewart

George Edward Stewart was born December 15, 1946, in Laurel Hill, Louisiana to the late Mr. James Stewart Sr. and Mrs. Daisy Irene Stewart. George was the seventh child of eighteen children.
George was employed with the Halliburton Oil Company of Louisiana, where he worked offshore for 15 years. George later drove trucks for Fayard and Knight Transportation, where he also worked for 15 years until his retirement.
George was an active member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church and he sang tenor in the Senior and Male Choirs. He also participated in the Laymen's (Brotherhood) Ministry. His favorite past time was cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Cowboys and playing golf with his friends.
George leaves to cherish fond memories his wife of 38 years, Ranella, their children Tiffany (James) Mouton, Layfette, LA, Cornelius (Monique) Stewart, San Antonio, TX, Nathaniel (Tammy) Stewart, Pass Christian, MS, Terrica Magee (Steve Horton), Huntsville, AL and Jonathan Stewart, Gulfport, MS; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers: James, Jr. (Mary) Stewart, Robert (Portia) Stewart, Paul (Eta) Stewart all of Pass Christian, MS and LeRoy (Cynthia) Stewart of Vallejo, CA, five sisters: Geraldine Bailey and Lillian Fields both of Gulfport, MS and RoseMary Decatur of Titusville, Fl, Colodia (Clifton) Smith and Oletha Stewart both of Pass Christian, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 26, 2013, 1:00pm at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, 322 Davis Ave., Pass Christian with visitation beginning at 11:00am. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport assisted the family with arrangements. An online guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com
