George Stephan Lewis

George S. Lewis,76, born September 2,1937, in Santa Fe, NM peacefully passed on September 20, 2013, in Gulfport, MS.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy, his children,""Rick"" , Jennifer, ""CC"" and ""Bud"". He will be deeply missed by his daughter-in-law Teresa and his grandchildren; Tyler, Katie, Justin, Amber, and Ayianna, as well as several other family members including Lonnie, Juanita, Anita, and James Bachicha, Elizabeth Lewis, Monica Menczer, George and Patti Myers, Bill Myers, Marti, Shari, and Scott Myers.
George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was very active in his community. Through the years, he served St. James Parish through Boy Scouts as a scout leader and was a member Our Lady of Fatima of Biloxi. He had various hobbies and interests such as leather and woodworks, bowling, candle making, and karate. George was a true gentleman with a strong Native American Spirit. He retired from the Air Force and Stennis Space Center where he worked on the Space Shuttle main engine. He lived an exciting life. He will join his biological mother Rafalita and his adoptive parents George and Viola, in his proper place in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or your favorite charity.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at 5pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 10am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
