George Mendel ""Mendy"" Deas, age 61, a resident of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Deas and Louise Finley Deas; and his sister, Pamela Deas.
Mendy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nancy Deas; his children, Michelle Deas of Omaha, NE and Mendel Deas, Jr. of Gulfport; and his siblings, Tanya Fayard, Twila Higdon and Bobby Foret, all of Gulfport.
He is a graduate of Gulfport East High School and retired from Deas Tire Company. Mendy was a member of Gulfport Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
