George A. Cospelich

George A. Cospelich, Sr., age 92, of Long Beach, passed away on July 21, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mavis Suber Cospelich, parents, Andrew and Ethel Cospelich, 2 brothers, Harold Cospelich and Herman Cospelich, and 2 sisters, Edith Reed and Myrtle Pagano.
He is survived by a son, George Cospelich, Jr. (Cindy); a daughter Janet Miller (Danny). He has three grandsons, George ""Tony"" Cospelich (Sheree), Shawn Cospelich, and Adam Miller (Brandy); one granddaughter, Jessica Jones (Bradley); great-grandchildren, Makala, Callison, and Brighton Cospelich, Kerri Cospelich, Christian Miller, Evan Miller, Sean Malicki, Cameryn Jones, and Braiden Jones, a brother, Andrew Cospelich, and a sister, Vivian Bullard, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Cospelich served in the Pacific Islands with the Navy during WWII where he received the Asiatic Pacific Medal w/2 Bronze Stars. After his military service, he returned to the coast later retired as a carpenter.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 10 am to 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
