George Joseph Brignac, Jr., age 75, of Gulfport, passed away on May 5, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Edna Brignac.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda Brignac, his children, James Kevin (Denise) Brignac and Christopher Joseph (Stacey) Brignac, a sister, Patricia Dorsey, 4 grandchildren, Derek James Brignac, Michael Joseph Brignac, Jason Christopher Brignac, and Brittany Nicole Penny, 3 great-grandchildren, Ryker James Brignac, Leah Nicole Thomas, and Emily Anne Penny, and many other relatives and friends.
He was born in Opelousas, LA and later served in U.S. Navy. He moved to the gulf coast with his family in 1966 where he later opened 2 offices, Commercial Securities and Consumer Credit. He retired in 2012 from selling real estate with Brignac Realty. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 10 - 11 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hwy 53, Lizana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in the church. Interment will take place on May 18, 2015, at 1:30 PM in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Notre Dame Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
