Gary Eugene "Captain Gene" McGuire

Gary Eugene ""Captain Gene"" McGuire, age 56, Kiln, passed away May 15, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lexie McGuire; and his brother, Guy Edward McGuire.
Gene is survived by his wife of 20 years, Susan McGuire of Kiln; his children, Ashley Carr, Cody Giroir, and Amber Giroir, all of Kiln; his siblings, Robert (Melissa) McGuire of Kentwood, LA, Mickey McGuire, Jeff (Abby) McGuire, Sterling (Shelly) McGuire, and Della Stephenson all of Kiln, and Virginia Schonewitz of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Blake Carr, Eli Giroir, and Bently Sellier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He worked for many years for Tidewater Marine as a Master Mariner. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His family was very important to him and he loved being with his grandsons.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Bayou LaCroix Cemetery, Bay St. Louis.
