Gary Marvin Evans, age 44, passed away on May 29, 2020 in Spokane, Washington. He was born in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Alvin Evans; brother, William Jason "B.J." Evans; and maternal grandparents, William B. Burril and Mildred E. Burril.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Boatner of Gulfport; stepfather, Ronald Boatner of Gulfport; brothers, Robert Evans of Gulfport and Anthony Evans of Daphne, AL; significant other, Kathleen M. O'Neil of Spokane, WA; one niece, Leah Evans; one nephew, William Evans; and many cousins and friends, whom he truly loved.
Gary's passion was his family and friends, and being a chef. He loved to cook, teaching others to cook, and celebrating life with food. He's worked in the restaurant industry since the age of 15, working his way up from dishwasher to head chef. He loved the arts, being outdoors, and was a very spiritual man.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Due to COVID19 and per state guidelines, only 50 people will be allowed to visit indoors at the funeral home.
