Gary K. Barker, age 71 of Long Beach, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Voncille and Gerald Barker and his brother, Glenn Barker.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joanie Barker; his son, Casey (Meagan) Barker; his brother, Greg Barker; his grandchildren, Joshua, Emma, Athena, Madison and Houston; and nieces and nephews.

Gary was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, where he met and married Ms. Joanie. He graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School in 1972 and later attended Delgado Community College. He was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors and retired from Schindler Elevator Corporation after more than 30 years of employment.  In 1994, the Barkers would move to Long Beach, MS.  Gary was the founder and president of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America Deep South Chapter 76 which he established in 2016.  He loved working on his Indian and Harleys.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Long Beach City Cemetery.
