Fusako von Kampen, age 86, of Saucier, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Gulfport. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Seizo and Minako Akita of Japan, and her husband, Donald von Kampen of Saucier.

She is survived by her brothers, Nariyoshi (Hiromi) Akita of Kanagawa, Japan, and Toshiaki Yagi (Kyoko) of Tokyo, Japan, and her children, Marie von Kapmen of Saucier, Mary Scott (Richard) of Long Beach, and Robert von Kampen of Nantucket, MA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and extended family in Japan.

The family wishes to thank the staff and physicians at Memorial Physician Clinics, Orange Grove Medical Specialties, Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, LA, and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Gulfport for their kind and compassionate care.
