Fred Hartley, age 87, of Ocean Springs, passed away on September 20, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roderick and Irene Hartley; and his siblings, Dorothy Reyes and Vernon Hartley.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Vera Hartley; 2 children, George F. Hartley, Jr. and Sherry Dixon; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Burchnell, Matthew Dixon, and Laura McGorty; 7 great-grandchildren; and othr relatives and friends.
Mr. Hartley served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and later retired from Florida East Coast Railroad as an inspector. He enjoyed gambling, fishing, and traveling.
A private interment will take place at a later date in Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Leukemia Society.
