Franklin Dee Williams

Franklin Dee Williams, 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2016, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
Franklin was born in Jenkins, Missouri on March 4, 1937 to Hise and Eula Williams. He graduated from School of the Ozarks in 1955 before he became an orderly at Burge Hospital in Springfield, Missouri where he met the love of his life in an elevator, Ruth Watson. He joined the United States Air Force and soon after, Franklin and Ruth were married on January 12, 1956. After he was Honorably Discharged from the Air Force in 1963, he started his career in data processing and banking which continued for over 40 years.
During their marriage, Franklin and Ruth had 5 children: Renae Gregory (Anthony), Christopher Williams (Marcella), Cari Williams (Rod Davis), Tina Williams and Paddy Williams (Jo). Franklin was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Franklin was passionate about the Boy Scouts of America during his life. The National Exchange Club was an organization that Franklin truly loved and was a major contributor to the Prevention of Child Abuse section as well as their ""Giveakidaflagtowave"" Program. He was also the Director of the Community Food Pantry of Long Beach for ""quite a while"".
Franklin is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his immediate family as well as one sister and one brother.
A visitation for Franklin will be at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach on Sunday, March 13th from 1:00-3:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel.
Memorials should be sent to First Baptist Church of Long Beach, the Community Food Pantry of Long Beach and the National Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Program.
