Frank E. Robinson, Jr.

Frank E. “Robby” Robinson, Jr., 63, passed away on June 6, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

Robby (Frank) was born in Gulfport Mississippi to Frank E. and Dorothy C. Robinson on January 19, 1960. Robby graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He also graduated from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service (Houston, Texas) in 1993, having earned a associates degree in Funeral Science. Upon graduation, he became fully licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Texas. 

Robby began his career in Funeral Service in Houston, Texas with Service Corporation International (SCI) from 1992 - 2002 and served as the Houston Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association President from 2001-2002. After his time with SCI, he briefly worked for Cashner Funeral Home and then Pace Stancil Funeral Home until accepting a position at Kirk Mortuary in 2004. In 2010 he took an opportunity to open Frank Robinson’s Evergreen Livery Service which he has owned and operated since. 

Robby (Frank) leaves behind a sister, Angela Slade, his beautiful canine companion Ally, and a host of funeral practitioners and close friends who loved him and whose lives he has touched through his many years of service, love and friendship. 

As per his wishes, a graveside service will be held and Robby will be laid to rest at 10:00 am on Friday, June 9, 2023, in Coalville Cemetery, 12556 Lorraine Road, Biloxi, Mississippi next to his parents. Victor Chatham will officiate. 

A memorial service to celebrate Robby’s life will be held by his friends and colleagues in Houston, Texas, details to come soon.
