SMSgt Frank R. Haney, Sr, USAF, Ret.,age 91, a native of Friars Point, MS (Delta Region) and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Rita; his son, Russell; his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
Mr. Haney is survived by his daughter, Rita Dianna Noullet and her husband, Joe; his son, Greg Haney and his wife Rhonda; his granddaughters, Amy and Lauren Noullet; his grandsons, Scott, Sean and his wife Kristina, and Luke Haney; his great grandchild; Ayden Noullet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Frank was a retired World War II veteran with 32 years of service including the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, and U.S. Air Force. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He worked for an Office Supply Company, Air National Guard, and Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base. Throughout his personal, professional, and military careers, he received numerous achievement awards, medals, and commendations.
Aside from his wife and family, cooking was his passion. Treasure hunting with his metal detector also occupied many a day. While living at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), he developed a true love for painting.
Frank attended Grace Memorial Baptist and Bayou View Baptist Churches in Gulfport.
Frank will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a caring grandfather. He touched many lives with his sense of humor and his belief in appreciating life.
The family wishes to thank the residents and staff of the AFRH who helped make his last years enjoyable.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Bayou View Baptist Church with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
