Frank E. Gasper, age 87 of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on March 17, 2013.
Mr. Gasper is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Katherine Gasperovich; and his sisters, Mary Bury and Katherine Baummiller.
His is survived by his wife, Gloria Thompson Gasper; his children, Randall Gasper, Jeff Gasper, Robert DeJute, Joseph DeJute, and Catherine Elliot; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gasper was an active member of the Diamondhead Boaters' Association, serving one term as director. He received his BA degree from Youngstown State University and his MS from the University of Arizona. His post graduate work included studies at Florida State University in the field of ""Nuclear Radiation on Living Tissue"". He retired from the Ohio State Teachers' Association after thirty-two years of service and was an associate professor at Youngstown State University from 1955 through 1972. As a veteran of World War II, he also served as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 33.
