Reverend Floyd V. Shehorn, age 82 of Pass Christian, passed away on October 12, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde F. and Frances Braden Shehorn, and his three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Shehorn of Pass Christian; his children, Mary Morrison of Corpus Christi, TX, Doris Ladner (Buddy) of Gulfport, Clyde Shehorn (Donna) of Pass Christian, Bobby Shehorn (Theresa) of Pass Christian, Charles Shehorn of Pass Christian, Gary Shehorn (Jennie) of Pass Christian, and Jean McKay of South Carolina; his three sisters; his twenty-one grandchildren; his twenty-two great grandchildren; and many that he adopted into his family along the way.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War with the 45th Infantry Division. Reverend Shehorn served in the ministry for fifty-four years.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October17, 2013, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013, at 9:30 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
