Floyd Norbert Ladner, age 84, resident of Pass Christian, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
Mr. Ladner was born in the Fenton Community to the late Desire and Mary Peterson Ladner in 1925. He attended Mississippi State for four years after returing from the United States Navy, in which he served two tours. He was an appliance repairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents;Step-Mother, Juanita """"Nita"""" Clark Ladner; wife, Clara Ladner; siblings, Eldon J. Ladner, Sr., Hilda Garriga, Ethelene Ladner, Nelson Ladner, Luvy Ward, Emmett Ladner, Vertie Wartes, and Eileen Ladner; his wife's sons, Celester Lander and Lovic Joseph Ladner.
He is survived by his wife's son Leland Ladner (Emily) of Gulfport, his wife's daughters' Marlene Necaise (Frankie) of Necaise Crossing, Carol Sandidge (Jim) and Bonnie Holliman all of Gulfport; his sister Beverly Stairs of Califorina and his loving family, including nieces and nephews, whom he was very close to, and his brother-in-law, Henry G. Ward, whom he thought of as a brother., 42 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, where friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 30, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in the Dedeaux Community at 11 am. Friends may visit one hour prior to mass.
Burial will follow at Alphonse Malley Cemetery.
