GySgt. Floyd Edison Allen, USMC Retired, age 73 and a resident of Pass Christian, died on Sunday, April 30, 2006 in Gulfport.
Mr. Allen was a lifelong resident of Harrison County and retired from the USMC including tours in Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand. He was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, George and Daisy Dubuisson Allen; uncle and aunt, Darris and Mabel Dubuisson; a son, Kenny Allen and a grandson, Dustin Allen.
He is survived by his wife Mary E. Allen of Pass Christian; his children, James E. Allen of Pass Christian, George D. Allen of Pass Christian, Charlene Cuevas of Wiggins, Debbie Spiers of Bay St. Louis, Raymond Allen of Wiggins, Christie Allen Snow of Perkinston; stepchildren, Robert Atchley of DeLisle and Rebecca Rule of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Jimmy Allen of Pass Christian, and Otis Allen of Petal; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc., Kiln-DeLisle Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
