Florence Ethel Cook, age 93 of Ocean Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jessie Ewing; her sons, Marcus and Gary Landry; her grandson, Gary Neely; and her sisters, Dorothy Akins, Wilma Holloway and Martha Mallany.

Florence is survived by her children, Tagan (Stephanie) Landry and JoAnn (Jerry) Borck; her grandchildren, Linda Nix, Renee Gyland, Allen (Amanda) Landry, Kim Kennedy; Jerry (Crystal) Landry and Jason (Donnie) Landry; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.

Affectionately known as “Flo,” she was born and raised in Miami, where she graduated from high school. She remained in Miami after graduation and became the proud mother of two children, JoAnn and Gary.

Later, she moved to Louisiana, where she met and married Ray Landry. Together, they welcomed two sons, Marcus and Tagan. Shortly following the landfall of Hurricane Camille, Flo moved to Biloxi, where she lived until 1975 before moving back to Louisiana.

Upon her retirement in 1995, she returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, settling in Gautier to be near her son Tagan and his family. Flo found great joy in hosting and visiting garage sales, but above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi. An online guestbook may be signed and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com .
