Flex R. Youngblood, Jr., age 65, of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017.
Flex was born to Lora Lee Sellier Youngblood and Flex R. Youngblood, Sr. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was a police officer in his younger years. He was the former owner of the Purple Cow Ice Cream Parlor in Bay St. Louis. He was a Dad who gave his children life, nurtured them, taught them, held them, scolded them, kissed them, but most importantly, loved them unconditionally. He was of the Catholic Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother; children, Scott (Sandra) Turan of Long Beach, Brandy Bishop of New Orleans, Christopher (Caroline) Turan of Edmond, OK, and Tyna (Phillip) LeBlanc of Long Beach; 11 grandchildren, Ally, Breanna, Michael, Addy, Brandee, Trace, Josh, Jerrilyn, Dakoda, Braxton, and Charlee; and one great-grandson, Christopher.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 1:30-3:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 3:00pm.
Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
