Faye Sheffield Davis, 73, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Mobile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melba Adams Sheffield and Harvey Lanier Sheffield.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, William Bradshaw Davis of Mobile; her children, William Bradshaw Davis, II, Amanda "Mandy" Faye Davis, and Daniel Lanier Davis and his wife Leslie McKinney Davis; her brother, William Daniel "Danny" Sheffield; her grandchildren: Grayson Lanier Davis and Adams Baker Davis, her nephews, Anthony Wayne Sheffield and Jonathan "Johnny" Wayne Sheffield; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis graduated from Gulfport High School in 1962 and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She was an educator with the Mobile County public school system, where she retired.
In her free time she enjoyed cross stitching, ceramics, gardening, bird watching, cooking, and being surrounded by her family. She was the matriarch of a family that she loved dearly, and they loved her.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1110 Montlimar Drive #420, Mobile, AL 36609.
