Farrell Samuel Black, age 83, of Gulfport, died Saturday, October 26, 2013.
Mr. Black graduated from high school in Tchula, MS. He then entered the U.S. Air Force and served honorably for 26 years, including tours in Vietnam. After retiring as a Master Sergeant, he was a civil servant at Keesler for several years. He was an avid sports fan, especially a fan of the Saints and Braves.
Mr. Black was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen V. Black, his parents, Hubert and Jewel Black; his brothers, Donald and James Black, and step-children, Kevin Choat and Karen Goodenough.
Survivors include his step-children, Mr. Kim Choat (Michelle Sorel), Allison Sharp, Rody Choat (Debbie) and Ryan Choat (Patricia); sister-in-law, Connie Black; 4 nieces and nephews; and his pets, Wooggie and Patch.
There will be a Graveside Service with military honors at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at Biloxi National Cemetery. Arrangements by RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport. Tributes may be offered at www.riemannfamily.com
