Evie Fayard

Evie Lee Bozeman Fayard, 96, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on May 9, 2018 at her home in Gulfport, MS with all five of her children by her side.
Mrs. Evie Fayard was born in Bruce, Florida on April 27, 1922. She was a long time member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church on John Clark Road in Gulfport. She kept the babies in the nursery at the church for over 50 years. She also opened her home for monthly Bible Study for many years. She loved to raise a garden and tend to her flowers. Cooking for her family was a way she could show her love. She was most happy when her home was full of her family and friends eating at her table.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Florin "Cotton" Fayard of Gulfport, MS; parents, Charlie and Lee Bozeman of Bruce, FL; four sisters; and one brother.
Mrs. Fayard is survived by her five children, Margaret Gorman of Gulfport, MS, Juanita Bunn (Jesse) of Gulfport, MS, Pat Reagan (Frank) of Canton, GA, Doug Fayard (Sue) of Hattiesburg, MS, Chuck Fayard (Carolyn) of Gulfport, MS; eight grandchildren, Karl Gorman of Wiggins, MS, Mike McGuire of Gulfport, MS, Jodi Howard of Gulfport, MS, Jennifer Hanna of Canton, GA, Whitney Creech of Mooresville, NC, Tami Kersey of Myakka City, FL, Jeremy Fayard of Brandon, MS, Sarah Fox of Flowood, MS; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren;  and one sister, Mrs. Ola Mae Mitchell of Titusville, FL.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Michael Memorial Baptist Church, 15053 John Clark Rd., Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, will be assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers  the family is requesting donations be made to Michael Memorial Church's Children Ministry.
