Evert August """"E.A."""" Enroth, Jr., age 76, and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Enroth was a general contractor on the Gulf Coast for many years. He had built a reputation for building fast cars in the 1950's and was active in the southern circuit oval track and drag strip racing. Mr. Enroth was a non-denominational Christian.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Freddie Louise Enroth; his parents, Evert August Enroth, Sr. and Cassie Wheat Enroth; and his sister, Evelyn Rohrer.
He is survived by his children, Don Enroth, Sr. and his wife, Gail, Debbie Enroth, and Steven Enroth, Sr. and his wife, Nyla, all of Gulfport; his sister, Betty Jo Smith and her husband, Charles, of Sautee, GA; his brothers, John E. Enroth and his wife, Julie, and Thomas Ray Enroth, all of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Dee Enroth, Timmy Enroth, Kevin Enroth, Steven Enroth, Jr., Derek Enroth, and Joshua Enroth; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Enroth, Dylan Enroth, Hayden Enroth, Ella Enroth, Giovanni Enroth, and Abryn Enroth.
Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 12Noon until 2PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 North, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
