Everetta Franke

Everetta Franke, age 102 of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Franke, Sr., her daughter, Ruby Elizabeth Coleman; her son, James “Dutch” Franke, Jr.; her parents, Willie and Ida Beech; and her sisters, Mildred Salters, Mertis Hammons, Mable Beech and Joyce Alexander; and her brother, Willie “Billy” Beech.

Everetta is survived by her daughter, Carolyn S. Blackwell; her son, Morris (Susan) Franke; her grandchildren, Kendra (Robert) Necaise, Kimberly Shea (Earl) Seymour, Amanda Franke, John (Dawn) Coleman, Rhonda (Gary) Keys, Douglas Blackwell, Bethany Gipson, and Brittany Franke; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, she was a devoted homemaker with a deep love for music and the simple joys of life. She took great pride in her home and yard, finding happiness in mowing the grass and tending to her flowers. Above all, she cherished her family, enjoying the time spent together and expressing her love through cooking and caring for those closest to her. She lived a simple life but lived it to the fullest.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to caring and loving staff of SAAD Healthcare.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Pine Ridge Gardens Cemetery, Gulfport.
