Evelyn Kay "Evy" Weier

Evelyn ""Evy"" Kay Weier joined the saints in heaven on Thurs., Dec. 11, 2014. Born August 5, 1946, in Jacksonville, IL, to Earl and Velma Nortrup, she was baptised into the Body of Christ at Salem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, IL. Evy married Gary W. Weier on Sept. 30, 1967. A graduate of Lutheran School of Nursing, St. Louis, MO, she was a Registered Nurse who worked 16 years at Memorial Hospital Gulfport before retirement in 2011.
Evy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty, and a grandson, Benjamin. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Michael (and his wife Brigette) of Englewood, CO, and David (and his wife Kristin) of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew, Bekkah and Hannah; a brother, Donald (and his wife Nancy) of Brookeville, MD; and a sister, Judy Roehrs (and her husband, David) of Concord, IL.
Her smile and her laughter will be missed by all.

Memorials may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or a church of your own choosing.
A memorial service giving all praise and thanks to God for his gift of Life will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1301 31st Ave, Gulfport on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
