Evelyn Brentz Necaise, age 88, of Diamondhead, MS, transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Evelyn was born April 27, 1938, in Pascagoula, MS to the late Albert Brentz and Ina Irene Rice. Evelyn retired from Bellsouth/AT&T in July of 1989 and went on to an extended career with the Hancock County, MS Library System, where she retired in July 2006. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles and games. She and her high school mates, referred to as the “lunch bunch”, met monthly during retirement, a testament to how much she valued her friendships. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church in Gulfport, MS, where she was active in her congregation.

She is survived by her son, Brian Franklin Necaise (Jessica) of Covington, Louisiana; beloved nieces, Kathy Brentz of Escatawpa, MS, and Brenda Brentz Heinsch of Crossville, TN, and many cherished relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Franklin Necaise; her son, Michael Brentz; her parents, Albert and Ina Brentz; brothers: Quentin Brentz, Joseph “A” Brentz, Houston “Shorty” Brentz, and Hendrix Brentz; and sisters: Irene Brentz Simmons, Bernice Brentz, and Kathleen Brentz Ashcraft.

The family invites all who knew and loved her to remember her in their own way, as a private celebration of life will be held by the family.
