Evelyn Campbell Jones

Mrs. Evelyn Campbell Jones, age 86, of Douglasville, GA passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born March 22, 1927 in Carrollton, MS. She was a homemaker; loved spending time with her family and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ed Jones; her birth mother, Bertha Corley Campbell; her father, Chester Campbell; her step-mother, Bert Campbell; and sister, Hilda Hamilton.
She is survived by sons, Mike Jones and wife Becky, and Steve Jones and wife Lisa; daughter, Melanie Brittain and husband Gary; grandchildren, Michelle Gilbert and husband David, Greg Jones and wife Kerri, Ryan Jones, Caleb Brittain, Hannah Brittain, Jordan Jones and Jessie Jones; great-grandchildren, Ella Gilbert, Tori Gilbert, Alexa Gilbert, Savannah Gilbert and Avery Lane Jones; sister, Charlotte Fields; niece, Stephanie Fields; and nephew, John Fields.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel in Douglasville, GA with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment by Riemann Family Funeral Home will be Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
