Evelyn Hudson Dees

Evelyn Hudson Dees, age 81, of Biloxi, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Dees was born in the White Plains community to Delmas George and Clyde Ethel Scarborough Hudson. She was a lifelong resident of the Coast and was a member of White Plains United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included fishing and playing slot machines. In addition to caring for her family, she and her husband, Buddy Dees, owned and operated the Woolmarket Superette for eleven years. After retirement, they enjoyed fulfilling their lifelong dream of traveling. She was a dearly loved wife, mother, Nanny, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert ""Buddy"" Dees, and her parents.
Mrs. Dees is survived by her daughters, Sherry Dees, Sheila Dees, and Shelley Dees (Donnie) Creel; three grandchildren, Greg (Melinda) Wyrosdick, Shanon (Chad) Shealy, and Austin Creel; five great grandchildren, Nick and Noah Wyrosdick, Grayson, Mayson, and Riggs Shealy; niece, Kay (Rondell) Young; special family friends, Mary Edith Dressel and Philip Drolla; and lifelong friend, Lola Wright.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at White Plains United Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the church.
Mrs. Dees will be laid to rest next to her husband at White Plains Cemetery.
