Evan J. Smith

d. June 1, 2016

Evan J. Smith, beloved son and grandson, loving father, true friend and gentleman, was taken from this life too soon. A graduate of Gulfport High School Class of 1999 and student at MGCCC-JD. Evan enjoyed his time working at Murky Waters and The Chimneys Restaurant, both in Gulfport.
Evan was passionate about learning and was interested in architecture, building, and progressive engineering. In his free time, Evan enjoyed reading, playing soccer, rafting, shooting pool, playing board games, and was an enthusiastic worldwide traveler.
Friends and family describe Evan as hardworking, compassionate, loving, and honest. His daughter, Finley, was absolutely the light of his life and is his living legacy. A genuine model of making each day positive, those who knew him will continue to honor him by following his example.

Boyd of Tucson, AZ; his paternal grandparents, Doris and Alfred Smith of Saucier, MS; and his maternal great grandparents, Raymond and Hazel Spillers of Little Rock, AR.
