Eva Dern

Eva Ruth Dern, Memaw, age 82, formerly of Tifton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017.
She was a graduate of Blackshear High School in 1953. She later graduated from San Jose College for Medical Dental Assistance. She spent many years giving back to her community under Dr. Annie Taylor at Coastal Family Health Center. Her talents were many. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and active community member. She enjoyed giving back to those in need, taking pictures, Alan Jackson, sunflowers, and making memories with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Martha Ozella Norris; her brothers, Roy Norris, John Earl Norris, RW Norris; and her sister, Hazel Johnson.
She is survived by her loving best friend and husband of 61 years, Paul Dern; sister, Hilda Jean Spell; sons, Keith and Gary Dern; daughters, Paula Dern Morelock and Carol Dern Jeffers; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.  The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
