Eugene Larsen

Eugene Lloyd Larsen, 81, of Vancleave, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. He was born the 14th child of Grace and Hans Larsen on August 30, 1935 in Hayland Township in Milaca, MN. He grew up and lived in Milaca until 1989 when he moved to Atlanta, GA and then to Ocean Springs, MS, in 2002.
He enjoyed ice fishing, shooting pool, hunting, and gardening. He always had a garden in Milaca. He enjoyed putting shaped puzzles together, playing card games with his grandchildren and keeping the yard always mowed and in perfect shape. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the Whipple Surgery in 2009. The cancer returned in July of 2015.
Mr. Larsen was preceded in death by his parents, 13 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annabell Maxine Berhow Larsen; sons, Jeffrey Larsen and Larry Larsen (Cheryl); daughters, Eugenia Lynn Larsen Martin and Wendy Ann Larsen Ayer, all of Vancleave, MS; grandchildren, Crystal Larsen Rowland (Brad) of Milaca, Valerie Ann Martin (Jason Taylor), Candace Leigh Martin Crawford (Sean), both of Ocean Springs, and LeeAnn Marie Bourcy (Scott) of Biloxi; great-grandsons, Johnathan Eugene Joppa, Zacharah Martin, both of Ocean Springs, Kai Oliver Bourcy and Hans Skai Bourcy, both of Biloxi; great-granddaughters, Paige Rowland, Chloe� Rowland, Lainey Rowland, all of Milaca, Farrah Crawford and Makayla Taylor, both of Ocean Springs; sister, Elaine Larsen Sanderson; brother, Ralph Larsen (Cheryl) of Milaca; as well as numerous nieces and nephews around the United States.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m., with visitation from 12:30 until the service time, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, at Washington Ave., Ocean Springs.
