Mr. Eugene William ""Sonny"" Cole, Jr., age 71, of Gulfport, passed away on October 7, 2016 in Ocean Springs, MS. Mr. Cole was a graduate from the Kern School in Pass Christian, served in the US Army Reserves for 7 years, and owned and operated Cole's Ace Hardware and Screen Shop. He was recognized for his patriotism and he enjoyed sailing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Cole, Sr., and Emma Cole.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dianne Cole of Gulfport and his son Chad Christian Cole of Gulfport.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Funeral services will take place at 2:30 PM immediately after the visitation. A reception will be in the RIEMANN FAMILY RECEPTION CENTER. Graveside services will be held at 4 PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens following the reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South MS Humane Society at www.hssm.org. An online guestbook may be viewed and tributes offered to the family at www.riemannfamily.com
