Eugene Chamboredon, fondly known as Gene, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Biloxi VA Medical Center. He was born on January 8, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Louis and Catherine Chamboredon.
 
  Gene had a remarkable journey throughout his life. He graduated from Cental Catholic in Pittsburgh, PA, and went on to serve his country as a Veteran of the United States Army. After his military service, Gene pursued a career with the Gas Company before retiring.
 
  Gene was a man of many titles and passions. He was a beloved brother, son, soldier, husband, dad, step-dad, Papaw and friend.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Margarite Murdock and Kathleen Gourman; his step-son, John Shaffer; and his granddaughter, Alicia Chamboredon.

  He is survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia Chamboredon; brother, Denis Chamboredon; step-daughters, Kimberly Simpson (Tom) and Diane Fischer (Brian); daughter-in-law, Adrienne Shaffer; sons, Louis Chamboredon (Bethany) and Eugene Chamboredon; grandchildren including, Brittni Shaffer, Tyler Shaffer (Russia), Jackson Shaffer, Chad Fischer, Mark Fischer, Ashley Chamboredon and Louie Chamboredon; great-granddaughter Dallas Shaffer; and many nieces and nephews.
 
  He had a vivacious personality and was known for being the life of the party. Gene had a love for deep-sea fishing, dancing, cheering on his favorite football team - the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as indulging in hobbies such as bowling and golfing, and was a member of the Pass Christian Golf Club.
 
  In honoring Gene's legacy, let us remember him for his joyful spirit, love for family, and zest for life that touched the hearts of many. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished deeply by those fortunate enough to have shared in his life's journey.

  A Graveside Service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery. Once confirmed, information will be posted here.
