Eugene Curtis Breland, age 76, of Gulfport, passed away on November 20, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Eugene Breland, and his parents, Woody and Alice Breland.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Evelyn Breland, his children, Jennifer Jenkins, Alice Ruth (Jeff) Schonewitz, Elic Breland, Cindy Sexton, Carla McNeely, Randy (Doris) Sexton, Steve Sexton, and Harold Sexton, his sisters, Gladys Parker, Joyce Deters, Mary Wheeler, and Geri (Ernie) Richardson, 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 expected great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Breland served in the U.S. Coast Guard after the Korean War and later retired from Glass Motors as shop foreman after 20 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, working on his equipment, and spending time with his grandchildren who called him ""Poppy.""
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 9 -11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Perkinston Cemetery.
