Essie Beverly Johnson

Essie Beverly Johnson, age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on May 29, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl B. Johnson, her parents, Joseph Beverly and Molly McDevitt Beverly, her siblings, Alton Beverly, Foster Beverly, Molly Katherine Beverly, Eddie Joe Beverly, Sula Beverly, Austin Beverly, Lorene Asping, Tilla Whaley, and Eloise Claunch.
Survivors include her children, Maria (James) Norton, and Fredna Cofield, 5 grandchildren, Rachel Cofield Aly, Deana (Mark) Burns, Ruth Cofield, Jason (Betsy) Norton, and Sarah Norton, 7 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
She was member of Community Baptist Church in Gulfport and she enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and she was a caregiver to her family.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2013, from 5 - 7 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Johnson Cemetery, Saucier.
