Ernest George Treadaway, age 78 of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jeanine Treadaway; his parents, Ernest and Constance Treadaway; and his daughter, Barbara Treadaway.
Mr. Treadaway is survived by his children, Eddie (Connie) Treadaway, Maryline Treadaway, and Patrick Treadaway; his sisters, Charlotte Martinez and Sharon Simon; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Samantha, Zachary, Kimberly, and Jared.
A native of Port Sulphur, LA, Ernest graduated from Port Sulphur High School. He joined the US Army in 1955, where he served for 4 years and was in the Army Reserves for 10 years. Mr. Treadaway was a truck driver for 50 years. He loved hunting, fishing, football and played football for the Army in 1956. He was a member of St. Patricks' Catholic Church in Port Sulphur, LA, and St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS. He lived his life to the fullest and loved everyone. We will deeply miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in Biloxi National Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, is serving the family.
