Eric Bagur Rolufs

Eric Bagur Rolufs was under the care of the nurses and staff of St. Christina’s Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Pineville, Louisiana where he said he was so grateful to receive attentive and loving care. Then, in his last weeks, nurses from Compassionate Care Hospice, Alexandria, LA, joined the St. Christina staff and gave Eric their loving attention and care services. He praised each of them in whispered phone calls.

Eric died peacefully in his sleep December 17, 2024. He joined his parents, Herman and Yvette Rolufs and his two brothers Fred (Fritz) who died January 15, 2024, and Jan who died on March 18, 2017.

Eric was born April 18, 1953, the sixth child of his large Catholic family. He is survived by his six sisters: Gretchen, Karen, Marlene, Stephanie, Lisa and Tessa. All were born and raised in New Orleans. They now live in five states across the United States. Eric is survived by many nieces and nephews in the United States and abroad.

Eric’s cremains will be buried next to his parents’ grave in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Pass Christian, Mississippi.
